Curved brackets

The bracket curved shape allows a uniform growth of the vegetation as it provides sufficient support and avoids its laying on the plant. The bracket can have up to eight eyelets for wires, depending on the selected width.

There are two types of curved bracket:

• Curved brackets sizing from 1.50 m to 2.40 m with accentuated curvature (app. 90°) for Hayward green kiwi varieties.
  

• Curved brackets 2.50 m and 3.10 m with less pronounced curvature (app. 160°) for the new yellow and red kiwi varieties.

The bracket is secured to the post using our patented universal fastening system and u-bolt. Supporting wires run along the row through eyelets creating a support for the plants and/or their productive branches.

The bracket consists of three main parts:

• Bracket body
• Universal fastener
• The threaded U-bolt and nuts to fasten to the post

USED MATERIAL

The bracket is made of different steel components that are assembled and welded together. Steel is S235JR, structural, suitable for welding and subsequent protection in a hot zinc bath.
This technique uniformly applies a layer of zinc that is 70-100 microns thick over the entire internal and external surface, guaranteeing a long-lasting protection of the steel. The quality and quantity of hot dip galvanization meet all the parameters established by the UNI-EN-ISO-1461 standard.
When producing the brackets, we use only the best materials to ensure the system’s stability, robustness and strength. Moreover, welding is done by robots, respecting the international M.A.G. – WPS standard to achieve a uniform, continuous and controlled weld.

The universal fastener is made of S250GD steel coated with EVOLUZINC alloy, a protection that offers long-term durability.

The U-bolt, specifically designed to be attached to the pile and grant a stable support to the whole structure, is available with the following sections:

• 7×7
• 7×8
• 8×8
• 9×9
• 8×12 for side piles

It is realized of a zinc-aluminum coated steel, that prevents corrosion process and assure its resistance.

MECHANICAL STRENGTH
The brackets must have a very high mechanical strength since they have to support significant weights – up to dozens of tons of fruit production– without sagging and preserving fruit’s integrity. The brackets have following strength specifications:
