An anchor is a steel rod with one eyeletted end and the other welded to a hexagonal metal sheet, with helicoidal shape which, once screwed into the ground, allows anchoring of wires and cables of head post to the ground in orchard system.
The anchor consists of a ribbed steel rod, 12 or 14 mm in diameter, with a welded eyelet at one end to grant optimal tension to connect to wires and cables.
The helix plate is made of a steel sheet, with 140 mm or 180 mm diameter with a thickness of 2.50 mm, shaped into a helix and welded to the opposite end of the ribbed rod, on both sides.
Furthermore, the steel is 100% recyclable and therefore has no disposal problems.
To prevent corrosion the anchorage is coated with a layer of zinc using a hot-dip galvanizing technique, with an average zinc thickness of about 60-70 microns. Galvanizing is carried out in compliance with UNI-EN-ISO 1461 standards.
The anchors have successfully passed resistance tests, achieving excellent tensile strength results for the construction of orchard systems.

Use guidelines are based on tests carried out on medium-resistant soil with d equal to 1 kg/cm2.

The anchor is very easy to install. It can be screwed into the ground without digging the hole with an optimal resistance and ready for immediate use. In fact, once in place, wires and cables of head pile can be connected and tensioned at any time.
Due to its size, this type of anchor is recommended only on orchards without coverings, such as anti-hail and anti-rain ones. For coverings larger anchors are required.
