This cultivation method is mainly used for the drupaceous varieties, i.e. peaches, nectarines, apricots, etc., where plants are self-supporting and no sustain is therefore necessary.
Structure is formed of cement posts set 5 meters along the row, whereas rows are spaced 4,5 to 5,0 meters. Posts must stand at least 2 meters above ground, and at least 4 meters if orchard has anti-hail covering.
For this type of cultivation just one wire is supplied, generally diameter 2,20 mm, to support irrigation tube.
- easy plant system;
- cheap structure;
- shoot tying is completely eliminated;
- good production quality
