Anti-insect net
Anti-insect net is s manufactured weaving a plastic monofilament and is used to cover and properly protect crops from damage caused by insects, especially DROSOPHILA SUZUKI, CARPOCAPSA and ASIAN STINK BUG.
Net must be installed on special structures and fixed to ensure total closure of the orchard in order to prevent insects’ entrance.
Material used to make the net is high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Wire used is made by extrusion, melting and passing of raw material through perforated grids (extruders); subsequently it is thermostabilized, that is to say heated to reduce all retractions that plastic material exposed to even modest heat sources normally presents.
Anti-insect net is made manufacturing monofilament with a particular technique called loom weaving; mesh obtained with this type of processing has rectangular shape with different size and is non-deformable, meaning dimensions don’t change when is subjected to hail load.
Nets are available with following dimensions:
CARPOCAPSA net: H H 2,50 – 4,00 – 4,60
SUZUKI net: H 2,00 – 2,50 – 3,00
In order to avoid thermal damage to the nets caused by the high temperatures reached by the material, it is advisable to avoid exposure of the rolls to the sun for more than four hours.
