This 2018 starts with a great news in Valente… We have created a new solution for vineyards: 4 new steel posts that are even more powerful, resistant and have a low environmental impact.
The innovative geometry of the profile, with new reinforced ribs, provides for a resistant, flexible and elastic post. The post is profiled and molded using structural high yield steel strips, such as the ones used in the automotive industry, which gives the product great flexibility and elasticity.
Furthermore, the new geometric shape provides for great resistance, especially on the sides, to ensure the post’s stability to the ground and prevent the rows from tilting.
The EKO post is used as an intermediate post in the implementation of espalier vineyards, also in case of major production, with big loads of grapes, vigorous vegetation and a high degree of mechanization, including for the mobile management of containment wires.
The steel is 100% recyclable and thus does not present any disposal issues.
The surface of the structural steel is protected with two different types of coating: the first layer consists of a hot-dip zinc coating that is applied before processing the product; the second layer consists of a “rusty-like” coloured polyester that is applied using the powder coating technique.
Such method consists in making the polyester adhere to the steel surface, thus by “baking” the product at a temperature that can reach up to 210°C.
The post’s special colour is ideal for protected landscape areas and is used to ensure low environmental impact.
The post can be equipped with two different types of hooks: N and H.
The N hook is recommended for vineyards that are implemented in hilly areas, where the sloped grounds could make the wires come out of their natural seat.
The H hook is recommended for vineyards that are implemented on flat lands and with consistent use of mechanization for containment wires.
EVO Post
The EVO post is used as an intermediate post in the implementation of espalier vineyards, also in case of major production, with big loads of grapes, vigorous vegetation and a high degree of mechanization, including for the mobile management of containment wires.
The steel is 100% recyclable and thus does not present any disposal issues.
The surface of the structural steel is coated with the innovative EVOLUZINC protection, the new hot-dip coating system composed of a zinc-magnesium-aluminium alloy that is used in many industrial sectors as a result of its resistance to corrosion.

The surface of the structural steel is coated with a layer of zinc applied through continuous hot-dip galvanization to achieve a uniform layer. Such protection is identified with code Z275, which specifies the amount of zinc used per sq.m. of coating surface (275 = 275 grams per sq.m.)
The TOP post is used as a head post in the implementation of espalier vineyards, also in case of major production, with big loads of grapes, vigorous vegetation and a high degree of mechanization, including for the mobile management of containment wires. It is expressed in: EKO TOP, EVO TOP and ONE TOP.
Like for intermediate steel posts, TOP can be easily installed to the desired depth thanks to notches at 70, 80 and 90 cm shown on the post itself.
The post should be used by orienting the open side towards the anchoring in order to confer greater resistance to the head’s bending.
The post is equipped with a tensioner housing, which was specifically studied to tighten the wires and anchorage cables and to register them over time in order to ensure quick and easy maintenance operations.
The TOP head post should be used with the plate in order to prevent the pole from sinking.
