For this new chapter of our technical column ‘Valente Solutions’ we came to Friuli, more precisely to the town of San Quirino, in the province of Pordenone, where we met our customer and friend Michele.
Michele’s family comes from a long agronomic tradition in other fields and in order to diversify they decided to invest in kiwi fruit, to see its development.
This is quite a challenge, considering that we are in a gravely area, which is heavily skeletal, and the soil is mainly stony.
This was therefore a technically challenging installation, which is why Michele chose to rely on Valente, a company known to his family and not only, which in his opinion fully passed the test, succeeding with ease even with this particular terrain to build the system to the highest standard.
As far as the characteristics of the system are concerned, we opted for an anti-hail cover that also provides perimeter insect protection, with a planting spacing of 4.50 m between rows and 5 m between posts along the row, alternating a low post with a high post.
Thank you Michele for trusting us, we look forward to seeing and tasting your first kiwis.
