WIRES AND CABLES
The stretching of an orchard or vineyard system requires special attention in the selection of the wires and cables, which are key elements in the implementation of our tensile structures.
The wires connect the posts to the anchoring systems and are formed by weaving heat-treated galvanized steel wires together. Such material ensures high resistance, low elongation and durability over time thanks to its high zinc content. In this way, frequent stretching of the structures or unplanned maintenance operations can be avoided.
The wires connect the two ends of the rows in order to create a continuous leaning surface for the plants that need to be cultivated.
The steel wires and cables must be able to resist against the corrosive substances present in the environment. Steel has extraordinary mechanical properties, but a limited durability over time: fertilizers, pesticides, musts and even water can corrode and destroy any steel that has not been properly protected.
