ANTI-HAIL NETS

ico-frutta ico-uva Our anti-hail nets are made with top quality materials. In fact, they are made with the best technique in order to achieve a very light, although highly resistant and durable, film. Thus, the quality of the thread and raw materials used, as well as the weaving technique, are essential. The thread Valente uses to weave its anti-hail nets has a nominal diameter of 0.31 mm, which ensures resistance against at least 3 kg per thread. Valente’s anti-hail net is achieved by processing a single thread using a special technique called frame weaving: the 2.8 x 8 mm mesh achieved with this type of process is rectangular and non-deformable, which means that the size does not change when the net is stressed by hail.


ANTI-INSECT NETTING

ico-frutta ico-uvaAnti-insect netting is made up of wires running lengthwise and diagonally which are woven together to form a rectangular or square mesh, available in different sizes depending on the type of insect from which protection is required. The main nets are used against:
STINK BUGS (green and brown marmorated varieties)
CODLING MOTHS when the mesh is medium-sized (2.8×8 mm or 2.5×4 mm)
DROSOPHILA SUZUKII
APHIDS when the mesh is squared and very small (1×1 mm or 0.6×0.8 mm)
Nets are woven using 100% polyethylene monofilament in a neutral colour to avoid them creating unwanted shade in the orchard, considering the high density of the woven material.


SHADE / WIND PROTECTION NETTING

ico-frutta ico-uvaShade / wind protection netting is made up of wires running lengthwise and diagonally which are woven together to form a rectangular or square mesh, available in different sizes depending on the type of effect required. The effects that can be obtained are as follows:
30% shade/wind protection
50% shade/wind protection
75% shade/wind protection
90% shade/wind protection
Nets are woven using 100% polyethylene monofilament in black for the shade netting, but available also in a neutral colour for wind protection netting if sunlight is required.
