GDC-shaped or Pergola vineyard installations and the V or Y-shaped or Pergola systems in the orchards need strong and durable supporting structures. The supporting system consists of a set of different solutions to create a final structure where the plants can be placed depending on the type of plantation that needs to be achieved. As a result, systems of different shapes, sizes and weights must be implemented. Commonly called brackets, these supporting systems are metal structures consisting of profiled and drawn steel that is cut, molded and welded to give shape to the supporting structure that, once installed on the post, will be used to attach the plants’ supporting wires.
Valente’s research and innovation has led to the first intermediate and “MULTIFUNCTIONAL” bracket with adjustable set-up. It is particularly recommended for wine grape and table grape Pergola cultivations or MOD, as well as for Apirene or seedless grapes. The bracket, thanks to its shape that unfolds in an upward position, is used for pergola plantations, where the fruits are particularly exposed to the light, sun and air, in order to ensure optimal ripening. The bracket features 8 slits, 4 on each side, to hold the wires supporting the plants. The inclination of the wings can be adjusted by means of the hinge in order to adapt them to the various needs and to the shape of the ground on which the installation is set up. In case of land with deep slopes or rigidly limited borders, a one-side bracket should be used.
